Elise didn’t go dress shopping. She went into two closets, took her mother’s cream satin gown from the early nineties, then asked her mother-in-law for hers without knowing what shape the lace was in. Both women said yes. The bodice came from one, the train from the other, and details from each got worked into the other half so neither family got a clean half of a dress. She wore her mom’s veil with it, and had a voice note play for the room while she walked in. Chic Vintage Brides has the whole thing.
